The 1924 Mitchell County Courthouse

Mitchell County Courthouse: c. 1924 is a dignified brick Classical Revival building. A surveyor's mistake caused the courthouse of 1883 to built on Oak Street instead of facing Oak Street. The correction was made by simply demolishing the building and building another.
