 My
name is Drew Darby. I am President and Chief Executive Officer of
Darby Title, Inc., which does business under the name Surety Title
Company, with offices in
San Angelo,
Ballinger,
Eden,
San Saba,
Boerne,
Big Spring,
Snyder and
Eldorado.
I am also President and Chief Executive Officer of Double D Title,
Inc., which does business under the name
Kimble County
Title.
I received my Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from the
University of Texas in Austin in May 1969, and thereafter, completed
my Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Texas in Austin in
1971. Upon graduation from law school, and being licensed to practice
law in the State of Texas, I began my law practice in San Angelo,
Texas. Because of the archaic and outdated method of geographically
indexing title records throughout West Texas, it became obvious to me
that technology was and still is the solution to the accurate and
timely delivery of data to the general public. Therefore, in 1982, I
imaged all of the records in Tom Green County from sovereignty of the
soil through 1982 and acquired the appropriate software and hardware
to have that information computerized. This utilization of computer
technology to deliver data and services to the public within a faster
more reliable time frame has served to build a business model upon
which my companies have grown. I am also pleased to announce our data
and images are now available to the general public for searching and
viewing. For a nominal monthly fee our customers can have unlimited
access to our records. This new online program networks all our
locations, ensuring that our customers receive expedient and efficient
services in those and other areas.
I take
great pride in the success by which Surety Title Company has soared
into the new millennium. I will continue to grow a company built on
integrity, dedication and service.
